The Dolly Parton Imagination Library

The Imagination Library will mail a new, age appropriate book to each child at their home each month until their 5th birthday. The program is offered FREE to families! The goal of the program is to provide books to ensure all children in our community are prepared for kindergarten, specifically families who need it most.

We acknowledge and thank grant partners; The Southwest Initiative Foundation, Hutchinson Community Foundation and The I.J. Burich Foundation for their support of this program.

Dolly's Imagination Library is a partnership between United Way of McLeod County and the Dollywood Foundation. The Imagination Library is entirely funded by donations from families, businesses, grants and fundraisers in McLeod County. If you would like to help support closing the achievement gap in our community , a $30 donation to United Way provides a local child with an Imagination Library book every month for a year.

The presence of books in the home supports the child's academic, social, and emotional development. Children develop a special bond wih their parents and caregivers by reading together. The Imagination Library puts books into the hands and hearts of children across the world at no cost to the family.
