Join us!
Redefining Rural. Connecting Women.
Believing We are Stronger Together.
United Way of McLeod County is excited to host the 2nd Annual Rural Women Conference on Friday, December 6th at the Silver Lake Auditorium. This year's theme is: Change. We all have a story (or ten) about seasons of our lives when we've experienced change- the big moments and the small ones. Join us for a relaxing, welcoming and encouraging morning with other women living in rural communities. We'll eat together, learn from each other and hopefully leave knowing ourselves a bit better, too. We look forward to seeing you!

MISSION
MOMENT
At the Rural Women Conference you will have an opportunity to support young women living at the Franklin House in Hutchinson. The Franklin House houses young women between the ages of 5-18.
This home provides a safe, structured and therapeutic environment for young women to grow and make positive changes at very difficult times in their lives. Many of these girls come to Franklin House after experiencing difficulties in their communities, school or with their families.
The Executive Director of the Franklin House has identified 35 needs ranging from $5-$50 that participants will have an opportunity to "buy" at the Rural Women Conference.
