Community Small Grant

We are excited to announce a 2nd round of Community Small Grants for fiscal year 2022.

United Way of McLeod County (UWMC) fights for the Health, Education and Financial Stability of every person in McLeod County.  UWMC is also here to help other nonprofits within our communities focus on their missions by supplementing their fundraising efforts.

The Community Small Grant is an outreach of United Way’s community Impact funding process. The available amount of grant dollars each year is subject to change.

Due to the closing of the McLeod Treatment Program, a previously funded partner of UWMC and generous donor, we are extending a second round of Community Small Grant applications.

Grants up to $3,000 will be awarded to organizations aligned with UWMC’s priority areas of Health, Education, and Financial Stability.

If your organization had applied or was granted a Community Small Grant this year through UWMC, we are not prohibiting you from doing so for this 2nd round, as long as it is for a different program than you were already awarded funds for in the first community small grant submission.

Below is the timeline of the 2nd round grant application process:

  • Application Submissions Open: October 6, 2021

  • Application Submissions Closed: October 22, 2021

  • Notification of Grants awarded: November 15th, 2021

  • Disbursement of Funds: December 3, 2021

We look forward to having this opportunity to support your organization in their missions.
